The fates are an a cappella group from Sheffield, UK, making music with atmosphere
and emotion. Our repertoire includes original songs and roots music
from England, Europe and America.
We also separately create and perform experimental soundscapes, and
explore the soaring possibilities of four voices.
The fates are Bay Whitaker, Sue Cain, Tegwen Roberts and Peter Rophone.
Three female voices and one male voice blend, in material from striking,
moody originals to gospel and the earthier side of roots and traditional
song.
